Objectives
The last decade has witnessed a rapid surge of interest in new sensing and monitoring devices for health-care and the use of wearable/wireless devices for clinical applications. One key development in the last decade has been the introduction of implantable, in-vivo monitoring and intervention devices for everyday healthcare.
The aim of this workshop is to address general issues relating to wearable/ wireless and implantable sensors and bring together leading scientists from computing, bio-technology, engineering and medicine to discuss the latest technical developments and highlight novel clinical applications of body-sensor networks.
BSN 2007 is the fourth in the series of successful workshops launched three years ago at Imperial College in London. After the event was hosted by MIT in Boston last time, the next meeting is held back in Europe and for the first time organized jointly with academia and industry.
